Step 1: Book an appointment for your car with contact details at www.buybye.my. Our customer support will contact you within 24 hours to confirm inspection.

Step 2: Wait for our professionally-trained, certified car inspector to deliver the service at your DOORSTEP! You will need to prepare the following documents:

1. Registration Card (RC)/Vehicle Ownership Certificate (VOC)
2. NRIC (or passport for non-Malaysians)
3. Spare keys (if available)
4. Approved Permit (AP) (company or individual for verification, if applicable)
5. Hire Purchase Settlement (for cars with outstanding loan amount)
6. Purchase Invoice (for cars purchased by cash)
7. Third-party authorization letter (for car registration under a different name)

Inspection process:

• Inspection will last about 40 minutes.
• A thorough 175-point inspection will be done including a short road test to determine the realistic value of your car.
• Photos will be taken throughout inspection process for recording and reporting purposes.

• You can choose to put your car up for bidding on BuyBye.
• If choose to put car up for online bidding, we will help to schedule your car for bidding at the earliest available slot.
• If your car receives any bids, you have 24 hours to accept or reject bid offers. If you accept, customer support will contact you for transfer of ownership and handover of car to us in 2 days.

All paperwork for your car ownership transfer will be prepared by BuyBye for signing on agreed date of the vehicle handover.

BuyBye will manage loan settlement with the bank and final payment will be transferred directly to the car owner's bank account via online transfer.

Yes, you can sell a vehicle on behalf of your company. Please bring along these documents:

1. A photo identification for the person delivering and transacting the car.
2. A letter signed by the company’s director providing authorization for you to sell on the company’s behalf.
3. Company account details (e.g. company bank statement).
4. One form of identification on the company’s business address.
5. Both sets of car keys (if available).
6. Complete car service history (if available).

Yes, the car owner is required to be present for ownership transfer during the inspection as the owner’s thumbprint verification is required

If the road tax of your car not been renewed for more than a year, you must renew your road tax to proceed with car inspection.

BuyBye provides a 175-point inspection of your car including a test drive of the vehicle during inspection. A condition report will be available to determine the realistic value of your car after inspection is completed. You can choose to accept opt for online bidding.

• If outstanding finance amount higher than our offered price, you will need to pay the shortfall amount to the bank. Please email a copy of your payment slip to us at info@buybye.my for our record.
• If outstanding finance amount is lower than our offered price, we will settle the amount with bank and remit the balance to you via online transfer.
• The balance amount after loan is settled with the bank will be credited directly to the owner’s bank account via online transfer.

Here are the steps to follow to change your vehicle status:

1. Inform your e-hailing company to request APAD (Agensi Pengangkutan Awam Darat) to cancel your e-Hailing Vehicle Permit (EVP)
2. Bring your car to Puspakom for B2 and B5 inspections and complete the ownership transfer and 'Tukar Kelas'.
3. You must perform a biometric fingerprint authentication at the nearest JPJ outlet.
4. You can schedule an appointment with BuyBye.
5. Any fee/charge incurred will be borne by the car owner.

If your car does not receive any bid, BuyBye will automatically schedule your car for next available bidding session. Subsequent starting bid price will be 5% less than previous starting bid price for each subsequent bid session. Maximum of 3 biddings are allowed for each vehicle.

An email/SMS will be sent to you to view live bidding session for your car. Here is how:

1. Click on the link attached in the email/sms.
2. Enter your email address as the username.
3. Set up your own password.
4. Log in to view the bidding.

The account will be deactivated after bidding has ended.

No fees will be charged for early settlement of outstanding loan, paperwork preparation and car inspection.

Yes, administrative fee of RM250 (inclusive of SST) per transaction will be charged after a successful bidding where the owner agrees to sell.
